Elena has been in love with wolves for as long as she can remember. After moving from NY to CA, she was looking for something meaningful to do for her birthday that somehow involved wolves and searched for local places where she could get that experience. She first found a place that was kind of far away and inquired about a visit. They were very limited on dates, so she continued her search. She then found Wolf Connection and signed up for a ‘Semi-Private’ hike that Easter Sunday. The minute Elena came to Wolf Connection she could not believe her eyes! She was truly enamored with these majestic animals that she was privileged to spend time with and became very friendly with the amazing people who ran the organization. Elena started volunteering less than a month after this experience, and as they say, the rest is history!

Over many years, Elena worked her way up from being a Volunteer to becoming Director of Wolf Care. Being here is her absolute dream come true! Elena feels that this is the most incredibly rewarding thing she has ever been a part of. She is so proud and honored to be a Pack Member where she happily continues to challenge herself and also nurture relationships with all the beautiful animals and people on the land.
